Update! Unit 10:Meaningful Use added.

I've now posted up all the Units (1-10) of Component 1 of the MOOC:

Each Unit has several lectures and each lecture has several discussion threads. I'll be posting replies and answers to the discussion questions next week, so if you want to follow along with the course, please post replies to the discussions for Component 1 this week.

Hello Chris,

I was out of the forum for awhile and it is exciting to see that there is an online course for free now in the forum. Looks like it is very informative.

I was wondering how many components are uploaded? Is that just component 1 with units 1-9?

Do we get any credit or certification for taking the courses or is it just for ones own knowledge/interest?

Are there any live courses?

Thanks

I´ve recommended this course to many firends and coworkers, but some find it hard to follow in english. Is there a spanish version?  Is there anyone working on It? Please let me know how I can help.

Chris,

Thanks for taking this on. I will be sure to let all of the faculty using my textbook know there is supplemental Health Informatics educational material available. As you know, many universities are creating new Health Informatics courses from scratch and appreciate the additional information. Given the newness and evolving nature of the subject matter all of us benefit from cross pollination and sharing. Cheers

Bob

Hi Simon, I'm planning on adding direct download links on this website to the material soon. If you want to get access straight away, all the material is available on the ONC website: http://www.onc-ntdc.info

Thanks so much for uploading this. We truly appreciate. Will these lectures also be made available in PDF for downlaod and reading off line? In Africa there is a disadvantage with Internet access in general and bandwidth for voice streaming in particular. We appreciate any efforts towards this suggestion.
