I have a degree in Business Administration that I acquired in Philippines. My concentration of work has been in IT and Accountancy and mostly in a Healthcare settings. I am very much interested in pursuing a career in Health Informatics but not sure if this is only geared towards Healthcare Professionals. Here in the USA, this field could be taken by IT Professional who wants to be in Healthcare and vice versa. In the Philippines, I noticed that only UP Manila offers this course and the website did not show the curriculum for Health Informatics. I will be in the Philippines for awhile and would like to use up my time wisely and this is the very one thing that I really want to pursue. Is Medical Informatics the same as Health Informatics? Given the fact that you have attended UP for another course, I'd greatly appreciate any input from you. Thank you for your time.
