Мне 59 лет,Я -- врач Скорой помощи и участка! Учился в Ленинграде(1-ый Медицинский ) и биофизика МГУ!
5 лет отработал в подреберье Чернобыля с 1986 года по 91!
Сейчас Украина и Россия переживают непростые времена становления медицинского сервиса! Я -- сторонник платной медицины на доступном уровне!Готовлюсь к операции на удаление паращитовидной железы слева, которая безсистемно выбрасывает паратгормон в 10-20 раз превышая норму!При этом испытываю очень интересное состояние, как после укола адреналина!
Намереваюсь продолжить работу...по геронтологии! Никому ненужные старики требуют своего подхода!Мне они очень интересны своими судьбами!
Живу в Западной Украине (Карпаты)!

Hey Pavel,
I'm actually worried now that my chances of getting in the e-health program are slim because I don't have any university math or programming credits. I've e-mailed the university to ask them about that, if it's even worth applying now. I was always under the impression that if one is coming from a health care background, it's important to be open minded about programming concepts but not necessarily possess a great deal of knowledge about it. I am planning on taking a continuing education Introduction course (for personal interests) but now, it seems like I'll have to tack on a mathematics course on top of that. Would you know what type of math course is better suited for informatics? As always, thank you for suggestions and advice!

Unfortunately, I was never required to take a mathematics course in university throughout my nursing program. And I never took a programming course either. I only took an intro one in gr. 11. However, I do plan on taking an Intro to Programming CE course. I'm not certain how this will all work out if those 2 subjects are mandatory for someone entering through the health care side.

Nice! What is your plan after graduation? Straight back to school or work for a bit? I decided to work full time before returning to school. Should I start this fall, it will have been 2 years of work experience.

That must be the most comprehensive list I've seen so far and I thought the one on COACH's website was pretty good. I love the one page summaries. Even though I realize they're still new, the 2 programs I am currently looking at are: McMaster's e-Health and U of T's MHI. I'm glad to see there are other options available to me in Canada.
