In general, PG courses in NZ are good, but it depends on the interest of the student. I did PG paper in Health informatics from Massey University. I enjoyed and benefitted from that course. However, i am of the opinion that this course should be percieved in unversities that are attached with hospitals.
Health informatics is the fastest growing field in IT around the world. With a combination of medical doctor and health informatics degree, i am sure you will have very good job prospects.
