About Us

The Health Informatics Forum is an online community and educational portal for health informatics professionals and students from around the world. The forum now has over 11,000 members from around the world and offers a wide range of resources, from free online courses (with over 130 hours of content) to a lively discussion forum.

The Health Informatics Forum was founded in 2008 by Dr Chris Paton, a clinical informatics researcher and consultant based at Oxford University in the UK. Dr Paton is a UK-trained medical doctor and Fellow of the UK's Faculty of Clincial Informatics. He leads the Global Health Informatics research group in the Nuffield Department of Medicine where his team investigates the adoption of digital health for improving healthcare in LMICs.
