HIC 2016 - Call for Papers

The Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) is pleased to invite you to respond to our Call for Submissions for HIC 2016, Australia’s premier digital health, e-health and health informatics event, to be held from 25 – 27 July 2016 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

With the primary theme of Digital Health Innovation for Consumers, Clinicians, Connectivity, Community the conference will highlight innovation and the digital transformation of the healthcare sector and the central role that information and health informatics brings in connecting the system, being smart with data, and enhancing practitioner and consumer experience in healthcare interactions. The conference will provide a platform for leadership, knowledge exchange, and debate the current and future health system.

HIC 2016 provides the ideal professional and social environment for clinicians, researchers, health IT professionals, industry and consumers to integrate, educate and share their knowledge to drive innovative thinking, to enhance services and allow greater consumer involvement.

If you are in the business of healthcare, then this invitation is to you. We cannot continue to ‘do’ healthcare using traditional models and thinking. We know there is a lot of good work happening to change the way health is managed. Advanced use of data, innovation and consumer led approaches are dominating the agenda.

HIC brings the healthcare sector together to highlight the power of digital health innovation and health informatics and to observe case studies and good work that is occurring across the sector. We know healthcare demands innovation and new ways of thinking, new models of care that are centred on the individual empowered by digital technologies.

This is your chance to be part of the industry/clinical and academic/scientific presentations at HIC 2016. These peer reviewed presentations at HIC are very successful and always prove to be highly influential and cover a broad range of topics. You are the leaders of the future of healthcare delivery – have your say, don’t keep it to yourself.
