I am Asma Rababeh from Jordan, I am a graduate student at the University of Leeds, working on my Master's degree in Health Informatics and will be graduating this September 2018. I have a distinction in my current course. I did my undergraduate in Nursing sciences at The Hashemite University, Jordan with valedictorian honors (GPA: 3.55/4.0 – Excellent). I have two years work experience at an Electronic Health Solutions (EHS) company in the Clinical Transformation department.
What is your interest in Health Informatics?
I am very interested in the area of researching open source systems and their deployment in developing countries. My interest grew in this field due to my involvement in working with such a system that has proven to be a massive success. The Electronic Health Solutions (EHS) Company I worked with is responsible for several projects, but its main project is to implement a national Electronic Healthcare Record System in Jordan named Hakeem. Hakeem started to be implemented since 2009 it is built based on WorldVistA an open source system.
