Hello everyone in the group,

I would like to know if anyone of you are from different background of study and decided to change specialization to health informatics. I am basically from Information systems and as part of my research I decided to do something with IS and healthcare and ended up being in health informatics area of research. If you are sailing the same both, please share with the rest of the members your experiences in this area and what motivate you to do this area. Thanks.

I just finished my study and will focus more on the discussion and issue in this area. This group has been silent for quite sometime and hope everyone can participate to encourage more discussion.

@Noor Azizah, sure, thank you very much for the reply. actually during my study i have interest in health data security. Protecting health information data  emanating from the Out Patients Department and the entire administration including the health directorate.

 

I have witness cases in my hospital where information gathered or collected from patients are not protected.

 

I am not too sure if this area can be very interesting.

Just thought of sharing hint on my current thesis tracks here. I am working disease warning system on Sensor Web Enablement framework. Using Sensor Event Servicie (SES) as a rule based model for disease warning system. This will show how Geoinformatics can be further integrated with health informatics. Hope to finish soon and also be able to entend it. Then, I will be able to share more of the concept here.
