please, I am looking for the key resources such as journals, database to look for my research key words, so is there any way to have these journals and databases names and the justification of the selection of them
Please let us know what is your research topic so every one can reply you specifically.
my research is to exemine the acceptance use of healthcare ICT among health professional
Here are three interesting books and a brief description:

1-Human, Social, and Organizational Aspects of Health Information Systems (Premier Reference Source)
Publisher: IGI Global Publication: 2008, English ISBN: 9781599047928

Human, Social, and Organizational Aspects of Health Information Systems offers an evidence-based management approach to issues associated with the human and social aspects of designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining health information systems across a healthcare organizationspecific to an individual, team, organizational, system, and international perspective. Integrating knowledge from multiple levels, this book will benefit scholars and practitioners from the medical information, health service management, information technology arenas.

2-From Patient Data to Medical Knowledge: The Principles and Practice of Health Informatics
Publisher: BMJ Books Publication: 2006, English ISBN: 9780727917751

I think this book can help many novice to mid level and even professionals.

How can you make the best use of patient data to improve health outcomes? More and more information about patients’ health is stored on increasingly interconnected computer systems. But is it shared in ways that help clinicians care for patients? Could it be better used as a resource for researchers?

This book is aimed at all those who want to learn about how IT is transforming the way we think about medicine and medical research.

This comprehensive guide to the field is split into three sections: (i) What is health informatics? – an introduction. (ii) Techniques for representing and analysing patient data and medical knowledge. (iii) Implementation in the clinical setting: changing practice to improve health care outcomes

3- e-health-care-information-systems-an-introduction-for-students-and-professionals." by "Joseph Tan".

It is an amazing book and contains not only the basic concepts but also advanced social economical and technological investigations. Past, present and the future state along with operational and strategic issues are noted. You will find it very descriptive.
Dear sir,

This is Damtew, a student in Health Informatics, AAU, Ethiopia. I am doing a thesis research which is entitled "Assessment of eHealth Readiness of Government Health facilities: the case of Addis Ababa"

the objectives of the research include:
- Identifying models used for determining e-Health readiness
- Identifying indexes to measure the level of readiness
- exploring potential of national govNet for the purpose of health system reporting.

e-Health readiness assessment, here, is about identifying the level of health facilities in terms of using computer tools and electronic facilities in their reporting system form facility levels through district systems to the national Ministry of health

stay blessed,
Damtew
Here is an interesting new book on fuzziness in Biomedical informatics

Fuzzy Systems in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (Studies in Fuzziness and Soft Computing
Publisher: Springer Publication: 2009, English ISBN: 9783540899679 Pages: 332

Fuzzy logic has shown to be a powerful tool in capturing different uncertainties in engineering systems. In recent years, fuzzy logic based modeling and analysis approaches are also becoming popular in analyzing biological data and modeling biological systems. Numerous research and application results have been reported that demonstrated the effectiveness of fuzzy logic in solving a wide range of biological problems found in bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, and computational biology.

Contributed by leading experts world-wide, this edited book contains 16 chapters presenting representative research results on the application of fuzzy systems to genome sequence assembly, gene expression analysis, promoter analysis, cis-regulation logic analysis and synthesis, reconstruction of genetic and cellular networks, as well as biomedical problems, such as medical image processing, electrocardiogram data classification and anesthesia monitoring and control.

Has anyone tried getting their CPR certification online? I have been looking at several different places. Has anyone else tried getting their certification online? Any recommendations?

Thank you.
Biomedical Informatics: Computer Applications in Health Care and Biomedicine
Publisher: Springer: 2006, English ISBN: 0-387-21721-5

An interesting text book to teach concepts in biomedical informatics, the study of biomedical information and its use in decision making and to illustrate them in the context of descriptions of representative systems that are in use today or that taught us lessons in the past.
Dear All.

I would be grateful if someone knows/has a book or source for learning EHR. I wanted to learn more about EHR first then implementation of EHR systems.

Thanks.

Thank you Lynden,

I may also suggest: www.pdfchm.com. I think it is not free, but it offers a great number of books.

Sorry, it is www.pdfchm.net

By the way, I found that your company is working in the field of HL7 secure messaging, we are now making a composite HIS system using Interface Engines, I am curious to know if you have experiences with them?
