Hello, it’s nice to meet everybody on http://www.healthinformaticsforum.com

My name is Jason and I am a student attending the University of Victoria in Health Information Science. With the growing field of Health Informatics I was inclined in searching for an online community in relations for my future career.  As for reference, I am always interested in gaining new knowledge and with the help of your expertise in health informatics; I believe I found the right community.

Best wishes and Thanks for your time,

Hi everyone,

I am currently a student working towards my Bachelor of Science in Health Information Technology at the University of Victoria, B.C, Canada. I have taken two years of general science and one year of Health Informatics, and I am currently taking some summer classes.

As someone recently introduced to this area of study, does anyone have any advice or words of wisdom?

I also was wondering if anyone could tell me about the different directions I could go in terms of employment? I would prefer something with some biology/science involved.

I am good at computers and programming from my childhood and now as I am already a medical doctor, It is best choice for me to pursue my career in health informatics.
