Any iSoft Lorenzo Users? How about Medical Records on PDAs???

I've been researching iSoft's Lorenzo product. I'm just wondering if it's a secure and valid substitution for written patient notes?

How about doctor's using PDA's for Clinical notes?

I work for the Information Management Section within a public health department. Our data collection and reporting timeframe has been halved, with greater emphasis put on maintaining data quality - as our validation cycle is severely limited now. I'm looking into the options of eliminating erroneous data from it's source - the clinician... the proverbial 'Doctor's handwriting'. Does anyone know of any good solutions here? I've been thinking tablets, PDA's, and the right software suite to accompany.

Currently our system has iPM and EDIS in place, which is why I ask about Lorenzo. Lorenzo seems to interface with the two. Is it a viable option? Can it be used or updated via PDA useage?

Are there better options for patient notes & discharge summaries that can be done on PDA/Electronically that I should look into?
